The talented a cappella group 'MayTree,' who achieved the feat of winning 1st place in Asia, 2nd place in the world, and 1st place in the world in the vocal percussion category at international a cappella competitions in 2009 and 2010, has returned this time with a mini album, 'the MayTree,' deeply imbued with their unique color.
From 'MayTree,' a song introducing 'MayTree,' to 'Arirang,' reinterpreted with a modern sensibility, self-composed tracks 'Let's Mix' and 'Call Me,' and globally beloved jazz numbers 'L-O-V-E' and 'Fly Me To The Moon,' a wide variety of music comes together, perfected in 'MayTree's unique style.
The title track 'L-O-V-E' is expressed through 'MayTree's warm and beautiful harmony so that anyone can comfortably enjoy it, while the 'brass' harmony with a 'mute' feel in the middle of the song fully brings out the track's freshness and adds fun.
'Arirang' is reborn as entirely new music through the harmony of Korean traditional music and Western music. By expressing not only diverse percussion sounds but also the sounds of various traditional Korean instruments such as the 'jing,' 'kkwaenggwari,' 'buk,' 'janggu,' 'haegeum,' and 'taepyeongso' solely with their voices, they prove that there is no limit to the human voice.
In this album, performed 100% with only the human voice, all members clearly demonstrate their qualities as all-round musicians by carrying out every process—from songwriting, composing, and arranging to recording, producing, and mixing—in 'MayTree's studio.

"메이트리"를 소개하는 곡 [MayTree]에서부터 현대적인 감각으로 재해석한 [아리랑], 자작곡 [Let's Mix]와 [Call Me], 그리고 전세계적으로 사랑받는 재즈 넘버 [L-O-V-E], [Fly Me To The Moon]에 이르기까지 다양한 음악들이 "메이트리"만의 스타일로 완성되어 한데 어우러져 있다.
타이틀곡인 [L-O-V-E]는 "메이트리"만의 따뜻하고 아름다운 하모니로 누구나 편안하게 즐길 수 있도록 표현되었으며 곡 중반부의 'Mute'느낌의 'Brass'하모니는 곡의 산뜻함을 한껏 살려주며 재미를 더한다.
[아리랑]은 국악과 양악의 조화를 통해 전혀 새로운 음악으로 재탄생 했다. 다양한 퍼커션의 사운드 뿐 아니라 '징', '꽹과리', '북', '장구', '해금', '태평소' 등 다양한 국악기 소리들을 이들의 목소리만으로 표현 해냄으로써 인간의 목소리는 한계가 없음을 증명한다.
