The 1st Album by A Cappella Group 'The Present' – "The Gift"

A cappella group The Present has released their first album, The Gift (Seonmul).

As the first-ever a cappella album to be released in the Gwangju and Jeonnam region, this record features unique original compositions that showcase The Present's distinct musical color, alongside "Bitgoeul Arirang," a signature song representing the city of Gwangju.

The title track, "Bitgoeul Arirang," was the official theme song for the 2012 Gwangju World Arirang Festival. Composed by Hwang Ho-jun to a poem co-authored by Kim Myung-gon (former Minister of Culture) and Kim Tae-gyun (Executive Producer of the Arirang Festival), the song captures the rich history, hope, and future of Gwangju.

Based in Gwangju and the Jeonnam province, The Present is an active, highly talented a cappella ensemble that demonstrated their artistic excellence by winning 2nd prize at the Vocal Asia Festival Asian Cup Competition held in Shanghai, China, in August 2015.

아카펠라 그룹 The Present의 첫 번째 앨범 '선물'이 발매되었다.
이번 앨범은 광주, 전남지역에서 발매되는 최초의 아카펠라 앨범으로써 The Present 만의 개성 넘치는 자작곡들과 광주를 대표하는 노래 '빛고을 아리랑'이 수록되어있다.

타이틀 곡 '빛고을 아리랑'은 2012광주세계아리랑축전 주제음악으로 김명곤(前,문화부장관), 김태균(아리랑축전 총괄프로듀서)씨가 공동 창작한 시에 작곡가 황호준이 작곡한 노래로 광주의 역사, 희망, 미래를 담은 곡이다.

아카펠라 그룹 The Present는 광주, 전남을 기반으로 활발한 공연활동을 하고 있으며, 2015년 8월 중국 상해에서 열린 보컬아시아페스티벌 아시안컵 경연대회에서 2등을 수상한 실력파 아카펠라 그룹이다.
