The Full-length Album by A Cappella Group 'MayTree' – "Maytree in Love"

The full-length album of MayTree's "Maytree in Love" project, which spread sweetness in the first half of 2015 with singles such as 'Becoming Alike' and 'Saying I Love You Isn't Enough,' has finally been released.

Presenting music purely with voices without any other instruments, MayTree showcases various genres of a cappella under the theme of love within a single album, in accordance with their belief that a cappella is not just a genre of music, but a way of expressing music.

Every Track Is a Title Track

MayTree's regular album 'Maytree in Love' is like a jewelry box where gems gather, with every single track shining brilliantly without a single song to discard—including not only the previously released singles like 'Becoming Alike' which signaled a fresh start, and 'Saying I Love You Isn't Enough' and 'A Dreamlike Day' depicting the sweet development of love, but also 'Dizzy' of a genre that seemed unlikely to be attempted through a cappella, 'Puzzle' for which no method of expression other than a cappella could be conceived, and 'Box of Memories' which feels like an intro yet plays like film music. In particular, the last track, the melody-cut version of 'Becoming Alike,' is MayTree's gift to a cappella fans, allowing a cappella enthusiasts to feel like becoming a member of MayTree by singing along to a melody part.

Filled with original compositions by MayTree's arranger Kang Soo-kyung, who is recognized not only in Asia but also in Europe and receives endless requests for arrangement masterclasses, this album is a true a cappella album created through collective contemplation by all members: Jang Sang-in, the world's best vocal percussionist; Kim Won-jong, the vocal bass who adds rhythm to songs with gentle charisma and special sense in the low register; and vocalists Jeon Seong-hyun and Jung Da-young, who serve as male and female lead vocals while delivering MayTree's uniquely intricate choruses.

The Complete Edition of Single Project 'Maytree in Love' by Asia's Top A Cappella Group MayTree Beyond Korea

Started in February 2015, the 'Maytree in Love' project was MayTree's original release project, receiving great responses from fans not only in Korea but also across Asia by sequentially releasing songs with constantly new atmospheres as singles.

This album is the final edition of the 'Maytree in Love' project, featuring a total of 10 tracks including the 3 previously released singles, and is released alongside the Korea concert of MayTree's Asian tour concert 'Sensation M.'

A cappella group MayTree, drawing worldwide attention for their highly accomplished musicality and performances, is the icon of the a cappella Korean Wave.

MayTree carries countless titles. They are renowned as the true masters of a cappella in the domestic music scene, holding records such as releasing the first full-length album by a domestic mixed a cappella group, winning the first and most awards among Korean groups at prominent international competitions, and being the top choice for collaborations favored by broadcasting networks.

MayTree is also leading a unique a cappella Korean Wave by carrying out tour activities focused on Asian regions including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Malaysia. Created while concurrently conducting busy overseas activities and concerts, this full-length album once again demonstrates a high level of completion unimaginable in previous a cappella, reaffirming their status as Korea's top a cappella group.

‘닮아가요’와 ‘사랑한다는 말이 모자라’ 등등의 싱글로 2015년 상반기에 달콤함을 전파했던 메이트리의 "Maytree in Love" 프로젝트의 정규 앨범이 드디어 나왔다.
다른 악기 없이 오로지 목소리 만으로 음악을 선보이는 메이트리는 아카펠라가 음악의 한 장르가 아닌 음악을 표현하는 방법이라는 그들의 가치관에 따라 사랑이라는 주제 아래 다양한 장르의 아카펠라를 하나의 앨범 안에서 보여준다.

모든 곡이 타이틀 곡
메이트리의 이번 정규 앨범 '메이트리 인 러브'는 상큼한 시작을 알렸던 '닮아가요', 달콤한 사랑의 전개 '사랑한다는 말이 모자라', '꿈같은 날이' 등 이미 발표된 싱글 곡 외에도 아카펠라로 시도될 수 있을 것 같지 않던 장르의 '어지러워', 아카펠라 외에 다른 표현 방법은 생각할 수 없는 '퍼즐', 인트로 느낌이지만 영화음악 같은 '기억의 상자' 등등, 보석들이 모여 있는 보석함처럼 버릴 곡 없이 모든 곡들이 하나 하나 영롱한 빛을 발하고 있다. 특히 마지막 곡 '닮아가요' 멜로디 컷 버전은 아카펠라 팬들에 대한 메이트리의 선물로써, 아카펠라 매니아라면 멜로디의 한 파트를 함께 부르며 메이트리의 멤버가 된 것 같은 느낌을 가질 수 있다.
아시아는 물론 유럽에서도 인정받으며, 편곡클래스의 요청이 끊이지 않는 메이트리의 편곡자 강수경의 오리지널 곡들로 채워진 이번 앨범은 세계 최고의 보컬퍼커션니스트 장상인, 저음부의 부드러운 카리스마이자 특별한 센스로 곡의 리듬감을 더하는 보컬베이스 김원종, 남녀 메인 보컬이자 단순하지 않는 메이트리만의 코러스를 함께 소화하는 보컬 전성현과 정다영, 이 모든 멤버가 함께 고민하며 만든 진정한 아카펠라 앨범이다.
